ABOUT ANTHONY LEE
Anthony Lee is a Certified Public Accountant working
as a consultant in construction and real estate
financial matters. Professionally speaking, he is a
forensic accountant with an expertise in construction
claims.
Mr. Lee has over 30 years of experience in
construction claims, working for contractors and owners,
and as an arbitrator and project neutral. He has been an
independent practitioner since 1986, doing all the
field work, report preparation and testifying.
From 1976 to 1982 Mr. Lee was the Chief Financial
Officer of Williams & Burrows, Inc. in Belmont, CA.
He was responsible for financial, accounting, tax, data
processing, job cost reports, insurance, employee
benefit programs, and construction claims. The company
had $120 million in revenues and 400 employees and built
downtown high rise buildings, hospitals, airport
terminals, concrete and wood-framed housing, and a waste
water treatment plant. Mr. Lee also coordinated legal
activities for claims with attorneys, subcontractors and
owners.
Mr. Lee worked with Arthur Andersen & Co. in San
Francisco, CA from 1969 to 1976 where he was responsible
for audits, consolidations, mergers and acquisitions,
registration statements and systems reviews. His clients
included construction, mining, real estate, manufacturing and
non-profit organizations, both domestic and
international. He was part of a litigation support team and
specialized in construction claims and contract
disputes, and worked primarily with attorneys representing design professionals in reviewing
contractor claims.
He received his BA in Economics from Yale University
in 1964 and an MBA from Rutgers University in 1969. He received his Certified Public Accountant license in
1972, and is currently licensed in the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts.
